5 Worst Las Vegas Raiders Plays of 2020

There's bad, and then there's these 2020 Las Vegas Raiders plays kind of bad.

#1 Losing by a field goal to the Miami Dolphins

The Las Vegas Raiders managed to crack under pressure more than once when a win was on the line and nowhere was that clearer than their week 15 game against the Miami Dolphins. Not only was that evident by how the Raiders defense allowed a 20+ yard gain for Miami, but also how they notched a face masking penalty against their quarterback as well. One field goal later, and they were done. This should have been an easy win.

#2 Marcus Mariota interception agaisnt the Los Angeles Chargers

Marcus Mariota more than proved himself as a viable starter in their week 15 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, even scoring a passing and running touchdown before the end of the game. With that being said, however, it was his costly interception late in the 4th quarter that would allow the Chargers to chew the clock and force overtime. Unfortunately, things only got worse from there as the Raiders would fail to get into the inside in their first overtime drive and were forced to settle for a field goal. This left the game on the shoulders of the Las Vegas Raiders defense, and you already know how that turned out.

#3 Darren Waller's dropped pass versus Broncos

Darren Waller has been a mixed bag of sorts with the Las Vegas Raiders, and while he has proven reliable in certain situations, he also has moments where he shows that he has a lot to learn about football. One such example was a game against the Denver Broncos, where Waller managed to drop a pass that was in his hands just a few seconds ago.

Of course, The Broncos ended up winning this game, but the missed pass was a pretty bad one with all things considered. It's going to be hard to keep justifying this man's spot on the roster.

#2 Derek Carr being held scoreless by the Atlanta Falcons

It takes a special kind of power to lose to one of the worst teams in the entire league, and that is exactly what Derek Carr displayed during the Raider's 43-6 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. It was just an awful game, and the Raiders seemed to have issues keeping the Falcons out of the endzone. However, the only thing worse than that was Carr's inability to get anything going on offense. In fact, when all was said and done, he recorded a measly 22 of 34 for 215 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception that basically caused the Raiders to implode.

#5 Nelson Agholor gets a case of the dropsies

It's no secret that Nelson Agholor has had a case of the dropsies in recent years, which is one of the reasons why the Philadelphia Eagles decided to split ways with him in 2019. He then got picked up by the Las Vegas Raiders, who utilized him quite effectively in some scenarios. Unfortunately for Raiders fans, this wouldn't be one of them, as the former Eagle managed to drop a clean pass from Derek Carr in the endzone in a game against the Denver Broncos. Sure, the Raiders would go on to eventually win the game, but this would still be a huge miss for Agholor, especially since it was so early in the season.
