What Every Las Vegas Sports Team Needs From Santa

This is what every Las Vegas sports team should ask Santa for this Christmas!

#6 WWE fans: A future WrestleMania held in Las Vegas

The last time Las Vegashosted a WrestleMania was in 1993, when it took place at Caesars Palace. Of course, WWE has always come back to Vegas for yearly shows, including RAW, SmackDown, and the occasional pay-per-view, but no WrestleMania has happened in Sin City in 18 years. That’s a big drought, and we need Santa to fix it.

#5 Kurt Busch: A victory and a playoff run to impress his new boss

Kurt Busch will be driving for 23XI Racing in 2022, and to say that there are a lot of expectations that come with this deal would be an understatement. Busch already revealed that team co-owner, Michael Jordan, stressed the importance of winning this season and that he would accept nothing less. Now that doesn't mean Busch is out of a ride in 2023 because he has a two-year deal with 23XI Racing, but it means 2023 will become his contract year.

Busch needs to win a race in 2022, and the sooner, the better! Fortunately for him, the addition of eight road courses and the chaotic Cup series schedule might make it easier. There will definitely be opportunities. He just might need a little luck from Santa to seal the deal.

#4 The Las Vegas Aces: The winning formula for a championship

It seems like the Las Vegas Aces have everything. A rockstar center in Liz Cambage, an MVP and woman who can put the game on her back in Aja Wilson and some of the best latent around the league. This is the team that acquired Riquana Williams and Chelsea Gray during the offseason but couldn’t squeak out a title. In fact, they got knocked out of the playoffs in the first round after a disappointing game five loss to the Phoenix Mercury.

Their loss came down to strategy. What the Aces are doing isn’t working and has resulted in early exits from the playoffs in the past two years. That’s why the team might want to ask Santa for a winning strategy in 2022!

#3 Kyle Busch: A new primary sponsor for the 2023 Cup Series season

Mars candy company announced that they would no longer sponsor Las Vegas native Kyle Busch beyond the 2022 season, leaving the two-time Cup Series champion without his best support. This comes at a time when NASCAR and motorsports, in general, are on a downward swing in popularity, making it difficult to find new sponsorships.

Even if Kyle Busch does find a sponsor to fill the shoes of Mars, it will likely not be the same as it was back when Skittles and M&Ms donned the front of his car. In fact, this could lead to him taking a sponsorship deal for less money and thus receiving fewer funds to compete at the Cup level.  Kyle Busch needs a new sponsorship deal before 2022 ends, and it needs to be something big enough for him to stay competitive. If not, he risks being out of the sport by 2024.

#2 The Las Vegas Golden Knights: To get Jack Eichel on the ice soon

Las Vegas Golden Knights fans have to feel jolly after the team went from a 1-4 record to a 20-12 before the winter break. However, what has to be at the top of the wishlist for every Golden Knights fan is to see Jack Eichel finally take the ice with his new team.

TheGolden Knights are on a 7-3 streak in their last ten games and were on a five-game win streak before their loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. This is proof that the Knights are picking up steam again. They are also tied for the most points in the NHL right now, making it pretty obvious why fans would want to see Eichel on the ice as soon as possible. They want to see what the team’s new offensive weapon can do!

#1 The Las Vegas Raiders: To make the playoffs

It’s no secret that the Las Vegas Raiders promised a playoff push at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately, they only have an 11% chance of making the playoffs. That number increases to 25% if they manage to defeat the Broncos on Dec 26, but will drop to 1% if they come up short against their divisional rival.

That’s why the Raiders need to ask, no, beg Santa for a playoff push. It will take nothing short of a Christmas miracle for the Raiders to limp their way into the upcoming postseason.
