#5 He wrestled as Dean Ambrose in WWE
While we all know him as Jon Moxley now, he used to be known as Dean Ambrose when he competed in The WWE. Furthermore, he was a member of the iconic faction known as the Shield, which had one of the greatest runs in the history of the sport. Ambrose didn’t stop there, winning the WWE Title, The Intercontinental Title, The tag team titles, and The United States Championship. He was very decorated during his time with the company but was strangely never considered one of their top superstars.
That role went to guys like his fellow Shield members Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Whether it was his look, his backstage attitude, or just the powers that be, there just was never room at the top for Moxley. That’s probably why he decided to go elsewhere.

#4 He left WWE
It's no secret that Jon Moxley deserved better from the WWE. Fortunately, there were other companies waiting in the wing for a talent like him.
in 2019, Moxley made his debut for AEW in the Double or Nothing pay-per-view. He even became their heavyweight champion. Unfortunately for Moxley, however, his road at AEW hasn't been easy and he's had multiple setbacks.

#3 He pissed of WWE when he won The United States Title
Jon Moxley had a very interesting relationship with WWE during his career there, and it was obvious he was never going to stay there forever. Not only was that evident by how he would find himself toiling away in the midcard come most WrestleteMania seasons, but also by how he just didn’t fit the mold of the company. One example of this was when he won The United States Championship from Kofi Kingston at Extreme Rules 2013 and yelled for the referee to give him the bleeping belt.
That’s right. He just uttered the F word on live tv and grabbed the first of his many championships with the company. He was told to apologize for his actions, and he did. Unfortunately for Moxley, the apology fell on deaf ears, and he was accused of being insincere.u,’”

#2 He was once asked to deliver a crude line about his friends cancer diagnosis
WWE has done some pretty wild things in the past, but what they supposedly asked Jon Moxley to do one time was just too much. Moxley discussed the incident on "The talk is Jericho Podcast, where he revealed that he regretted claiming Roman Reigns deserved his leukemia diagnosis during a promo. He also stated that the line WWE wanted him to use was much worse and could have cost everyone millions of dollars in sponsorship.
"And it is the worst line. You can not - I'm not gonna say it on air," Moxley revealed during the Talk is Jericho podcast. "'ll tell you after we're done, but I'm not even gonna say it on air, that's how bad it was. It would have been like a thing where somebody would have had to get fired. Maybe me. They would have like lost sponsors, Susan G. Komen and all that would have been like - and I don't know who wrote it, I don't know if it was Vince himself or if it was a writer and you're listening right now, you should be ashamed of yourself. You wouldn't believe it."
For those that don't know, Roman Reigns, AKA Leati Joseph Anoaʻi, really was diagnosed with Leukemia a short time after winning The WWE Championship, forcing him to vacate the title.

#1 He's married to Renee Paquette and has a daughter named Nora
Female wrestling fans seem to love Jon Moxley no matter what his name is, which is why they will be disappointed to know that he is married to Renee Paquette. Or maybe you're happy he found love. Either way, they met in WWE, and Moxley supposedly had her on the hook by the first line.
In fact, according to Moxley's own biography, the first time the two had a conversation was when he walked up to her before a match and told her that the internet thought they were dating. They started dating for real in 2013 and got married in 2017. They have a daughter together named Nora, who was born in 2021.
