While many people visit Las Vegas for the weekend, if you’re traveling a long distance, you may want to stay for a while. Two weeks could be the perfect amount of time to spend in Sin City. I personally took a two-week trip here recently and still didn’t manage to do everything that I wanted to!
With this sample two-week itinerary to Las Vegas, we’ll cover everything from day trips out of the city and thrilling things to do for adventure seekers to museums and unmissable shopping spots, making it easily customizable for any kind of traveler.
Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation
Traveling can be exhausting, no matter how far you’ve come. Whether you’re at the end of an 8-hour flight or simply spent a couple of hours driving in from California, you’ll likely want to spend your first day in Las Vegas taking things easy.
After checking into your hotel, you can enjoy lounging by the pool, getting a massage at the spa, or grabbing dinner and a few drinks at the bar before getting a (relatively) early night—you’ll need it tomorrow!
Day 2: Grand Canyon & Hoover Dam Day Tour
This one will take a little planning, but if you’re traveling far to visit Las Vegas, you have to see the Grand Canyon.
You can take a tour or rent a car and go solo. Many tours also offer the option to stop at Hoover Dam. Including both will mean you can see two incredible sights and spend the whole day out exploring.
After returning to your hotel, you can grab dinner locally before turning in for the night.
Day 3: The Venetian, Caesars Palace, The Flamingo,& The LINQ
Day three is full of on-Strip sightseeing, so get ready to get out and about and explore. You’ll start your day with breakfast at the Venetian. There are plenty of options here, including Canyon Ranch Café, Carlo's Bakery, Zeppola Cafe, or Truth & Tonic Wellness Café (the first-ever fully vegan cafe on the Strip!)
After this, stroll around this grand hotel to admire the stunning architecture and hop on a gondola ride - it’s one of the most popular things to do in Las Vegas. If boating isn’t your thing, perhaps stop at Madame Tussauds instead. As your morning ends, head to the Minus5 Ice Bar for a refreshing drink in a unique setting before hopping in a taxi or driving down to Caesars Palace.
Caesars Palace is an impressive sight, and it's worth visiting Vegas just to see this iconic hotel in person. It has many famous restaurants, including Peter Luger Steak House, Stanton Social Prime, and the incredibly popular Bacchanal Buffet. If you’re not that hungry, though, worry not. Vanderpump Cocktail Garden is one of my favorite bars at Caesars Palace, and they serve some delectable small plates!
If shopping is your thing, head to the Forum Shops inside Caesars Palace before you move on to the rest of the day’s activities. If not, then it’s time to get on with your afternoon by heading across Las Vegas Boulevard to the Flamingo.
Spend part of your afternoon strolling around the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat, where you can see exotic birds, turtles, and fish completely for free. After this, you can walk around the Flamingo, originally owned by mobster Bugsy Siegel. There’s even a bar named after him here!
Situated right next door to the LINQ, there are plenty of restaurants in the area to dine at for dinner, whether it’s at Gordon Ramsay Burger at the Flamingo, Guy Fieri's Vegas Kitchen & Bar, or Hash House A Go Go over at the LINQ.
Once you’ve finished dinner, it’s time to enjoy evening activities at the LINQ promenade. You can take in the views of Las Vegas from a ride on the High Roller, visit the Museum of Selfies, glide along the LINQ zipline, or simply watch the promenade light show.
Day 4: New York-New York, Flagship stores, Paris, The Bellagio Conservatory & Fountains
Day four brings another jam-packed day full of sightseeing on Las Vegas Blvd. Start with breakfast at the New York-New York. A range of restaurants here serve breakfast and brunch dishes, including America, Tom's Watch Bar, or, my personal favorite, 48th and Crepe! Spend a bit of time at this iconic Strip hotel in the morning, ride the famous “Big Apple Coaster,” or visit the arcade.
Next, it’s time to visit the flagship stores on the Strip. They’re mostly within walking distance of New York-New York, so they're included here. Don’t worry if you’re not too interested in shopping; there’s something unique and cool at each. I recommend starting with Hershey's Chocolate World (located in the New York-New York), before heading across the boulevard to M&M’s Las Vegas and the Coca-Cola store, where you can order a tasting flight of unique sodas from across the world!
You’ll finish shopping around lunchtime, so grab a bite at the nearby Hard Rock Cafe before heading to the Paris hotel. It’s one of the best Hard Rock Cafes I’ve ever been to, with outfits on display from the likes of Elvis and Lady GaGa!
After this, spend some time exploring Paris, another of the most iconic hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. Head up to the Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck for great city views, and spend some time at the casino here; it has a very cool design!
Finally, head across the Strip to the Bellagio to see the infamous Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. Grab a drink at one of the stunning bars here, or splash out on an outstanding dining experience before heading outside at the top of the hour to marvel at the stunning Bellagio fountains. If you’re feeling fancy, a restaurant here offers fountain-view dining.
Day 5: Springs Preserve & Museums
Day five takes you off-Strip to the gorgeous Springs Preserve. It’s a place many people don’t think to visit during their trip to Las Vegas, but it’s worth the trip. Be sure to have breakfast near your hotel before you go.
You can spend your day here sauntering around the butterfly habitat and the botanical gardens and even visit the Origen Museum and the small Nevada State Museum (Las Vegas). There’s a cafe at the Springs Preserve, too, so you can stop by here for lunch.
After a full day out, exploring, dinner, drinks, and a relaxing massage back at the hotel is a good way to round out the day, but being out and about is the perfect excuse to visit one of the many fabulous off-Strip restaurants, too!
Day 6: Mandalay Bay Aquarium, Titanic & Bodies Exhibition, Show at the Luxor
Day six begins at the south end of the Strip at Mandalay Bay. You can grab breakfast here at Seabreeze Café or the Veranda at Four Seasons before heading to Mandalay Bay Shark Reef Aquarium!
After this, head to the Luxor, the world-famous pyramid-shaped hotel, where you can get a combination ticket to visit both of their exhibits - Titanic and Bodies. Then, you can grab dinner at one of the many on-site restaurants - I recommend Diablo’s Cantina, but TENDER Steakhouse and Public House are both excellent, too!
For evening entertainment, there’s no way you can go to Las Vegas and not see a show, whether you stay at Luxor to see Carrot Top or head to another Strip hotel for a Cirque de Soleil performance.
Day 7: Buffet Breakfast & Area 15
Your seventh day in Las Vegas means the end of your first full week, and there’s no better way to enjoy that than by visiting yet another unmissable off-Strip attraction. Indulge in one of the many buffet breakfasts near your hotel (I recommend the MGM's), then set off to AREA15.
Not to be confused with the Area 51 military base, AREA15 is an immersive entertainment space with various art installations, bars, fantasy worlds, and unique experiences, with Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart and Illumination being two of the biggest attractions.
AREA15 is free to enter, but you must pay to enter each exhibit. There are plenty of cool restaurants, though, and more than enough entertainment to last all day!
Day 8: Rest Day

 Luxor Spa [/caption]
After a week of sightseeing, it’s always a good idea to rest. Halfway through your stay would be a great time to recharge and opt for a lazy day by the pool eating snacks, indulging in a massage or other spa treatments, or visiting the artificial beach at Mandalay Bay.
Day 9: Death Valley & Red Rock Canyon Day Tour
Another day trip to book in advance is a full-day combination tour to visit both Death Valley National Park and the fabulous Red Rock Canyon, again getting to see two great sights and spend the day exploring.
After returning to your hotel, grab dinner and enjoy a few drinks before bed!
Day 10: Shooting Range, Circus Circus, Arts District, Slotzilla
[caption id="attachment_74086" align="alignnone" width="1000"]

 Battlefield Vegas[/caption]
There are many great shooting ranges across the states, but if you’re not from the USA, visiting Las Vegas is a great excuse to experience one of the best. Battlefield Vegas offers the opportunity to shoot a wide variety of guns and experience unique and thrilling activities. You can even crush a car with Tank if you desire - book in advance to secure a place and hotel pickup!
Battlefield Vegas is located just behind Circus Circus, so you can continue the fun-filled, adrenaline-pumping adventures of the day with a visit to The Adventuredome. Stop by one of Circus Circus’ restaurants first, such as Blue Iguana or Big Top Eats, before delving into the fun of the theme park! Once you’ve had your fill of excitement, try to catch one of the free circus performances that takes place throughout the day here.
During the afternoon, head to the Arts District, where you can browse a wide selection of vintage and antique stores and creative stores selling hand-made goods. The area also has many foodie spots, making it a fun place to hang out for a couple of hours if this area fits your vibe. We recommend Casa Don Juan for Mexican food, Vegenation for vegan dining, and the Velveteen Rabbit (just steps from Casa Don Juan) for cocktails and beverages.
To round out the evening, go to the Fremont Street Experience to fly along the Slotzilla Zipline!
Day 11: Palm Tree Beach Club, MGM Grand, Flight over the Strip
If you don’t have a pool at your hotel, spending some time at the most fun one on the Strip is a good idea! If you're here when it's warm, go to Palm Tree Beach Club (formerly Wet Republic) at the MGM. Stop by one of MGM Grand’s restaurants for brunch before spending the afternoon hanging out on the Strip’s most popular pool deck.
After a fun-filled day in the sun, spend some time at the MGM Grand. Whether you’re hoping to try out another one of their restaurants, check out the second-largest casino floor in Las Vegas, or visit the Spa, there’s plenty to do.
Finish the night with a helicopter ride over the Las Vegas Strip. You can book these trips in advance and soar into the sky, spotting the High Roller, the Sphere, and the gorgeous Fountains of Bellagio.
Day 12: Golfing at the Wynn, Sportsbook, and Lake of Dreams
If you’re an avid golfer, you’ll be pleased to know that the luxurious Wynn Resort is home to a gorgeous 18-hole championship course. This popular morning activity promises a relaxing and refreshing experience that will bring you back to life after all the excitement and partying from the days before.
The Wynn is a vast hotel home to nine brunch spots, 12 casual dining options, and 10 fine-dining spots, so we recommend coming here for breakfast and lunch. Stick around after your golfing session to grab a drink and visit the on-site sportsbook or casino for an afternoon of betting or gambling.
After this, it’s time to head to Wynn’s signature Lake of Dreams attraction - A multimedia production blending sound, lighting, and imagery projection with grand-scale puppetry and an immersive soundtrack. Framed by a 45-foot waterfall, this outdoor show setting creates an otherworldly feel and is shown every half-hour beginning at dusk. If you’d like to enjoy it from a unique location, the Lake of Dreams show can be viewed while dining on the patio of SW Steakhouse, at Aft Cocktail Deck, or from the complimentary North Show Terrace.
Day 13: Art District, Mob Museum, Neon Museum, Fremont Street Experience
Your final full day in Las Vegas is dedicated to the Arts District and the Fremont Street Experience. Say goodbye to the Strip and head up to the Arts District first, where you can enjoy breakfast at one of the many trendy and hip cafes before a spot of antiques-store browsing and vintage shopping. This is a good way to get your hands on some truly unique souvenirs. I managed to grab an authentic retro ashtray from the Golden Nugget (the hotel I stayed at during my first-ever visit to Las Vegas) that I keep on my desk for spare change. It was only $6!
After this, have lunch before heading North, past Fremont Street, to the Mob Museum! Located inside a former courthouse, this captivating museum addresses the global history of organized crime and its importance in Las Vegas’ past, where the Mob once ran the city. Permanent exhibitions here include a vintage electric chair and a piece of the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre wall.

 The Mob Museum[/caption]
You’ll get a wristband on arrival, and make sure you keep this on, as you’ll be able to head downstairs to the basement, where you can find a traditional speakeasy. They have a fun selection of cocktails here, and many are inspired by the period. However, if you’re anything like me, you may opt for one of the whiskey-tasting flights.
Once the sun has set, head up to the Neon Museum. You’ll need to purchase tickets in advance, but it’s a great place to see some of the iconic neon signs once displayed on famous hotels, casinos, and other Vegas landmarks that no longer stand today as a beautiful, bright homage to Las Vegas’ past.
After two museums, you’ll definitely be hungry, so head down to the Fremont area, where you can dine at neighborhood restaurants. Evel Pie (a delicious pizza place) has walls lined with memorabilia of legendary stuntman and daredevil - Evel Knievel! My favorite in the area, though, is Nacho Daddy, a  Mexican spot with options for meat lovers and vegetarians alike!
Spend your last night in Vegas enjoying all the wonders the crazy Fremont Street Experience has to offer. From dancers to stage performances, great bars, and unusual street performers, this exciting destination isn’t for the faint of heart!
Day 14: Last Minute shopping, Time to Leave!
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, your last morning in Las Vegas is the final opportunity for anything you missed out on, including grabbing some last-minute souvenirs.
There’s so much more to do in Las Vegas, and brand-new restaurants and attractions are opening all the time. There’s always an exciting reason to come back to this thrilling city!
