Family Friendly Activities in Las Vegas: Fun or Just Hype?

Is Las Vegas really a place for kids?
Or is it all casinos, bright lights, and stuff for grown-ups?
Can you even find good family friendly activities in Las Vegas?

I had these same questions before my trip. But after spending a few days exploring with my family, I can tell you, yes! There are tons of fun things to do with kids here. Some surprised me. Some were so fun we went back twice! Let me share what we tried and what we loved.

Top Family Friendly Activities in Las Vegas

You don’t have to stay on the Strip to find great family friendly things to do Las Vegas offers. Let’s check out the top spots my kids (and I!) enjoyed.

Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay

The aquarium was a hit! My kids loved seeing the giant sharks and turtles up close. The walk-through tunnel made us feel like we were underwater. This is one of the best family friendly activities Las Vegas has, for sure.

Adventuredome Theme Park

Indoor theme park = no sunburn! There are rides for little kids and big kids. My son couldn’t get enough of the mini coaster. The park is clean, and you can take breaks for snacks.

Springs Preserve

Want to get away from the noise? This place is peaceful. We walked the trails, saw lizards, and played at the children’s garden. It felt like a mini nature trip inside the city.

Excalibur Fun Dungeon

This arcade was full of fun games. We played air hockey, shot hoops, and even tried a claw machine (didn’t win, of course!). If your kids like games, this is a good stop.

More Family Friendly Activities in Las Vegas

There are lots more family friendly activities in Las Vegas if you keep looking. Red Rock Canyon for hiking. M&M’s World for candy fun. And don’t forget the Bellagio fountains, my kids kept asking to go back at night to see the water dance!

Tips for Parents

Bring water, Vegas is hot!
Use Uber or Lyft, parking can be hard.
Plan breaks, kids get tired fast here.
Book tickets online when you can, saves money.

Final Word: Is Vegas Good for Families?

I was worried before we came. But I’m glad we did it. We found so many family friendly things to do Las Vegas offers. From animals to rides to nature walks, there’s more here than just casinos. If you plan right, you’ll have fun and make great memories.

So yes, Vegas is for families too. You just have to know where to look!
