What a difference a year makes.
Seriously though, the Las Vegas Aces came into 2020 with little hope on their side after losing Liz Cambage and Kelsey Plum in the preseason and missed their star center all season long. Sure, the rest of the Aces squad stepped up in her absence and even made it to the WNBA finals, but they were swept by the Seattle Storm in what had to be one of the most embarrassing losses in the league's history. Fast forward to 2021, though, and the Aces actually ended up winning a game against the Storm, after Cambage scored 18 points, eight rebounds, and one assist. She is just that indelible x-factor that can change the game, and she proved it that night against a team they will likely meet again in the playoffs.
