It's no secret that Max Pacioretty is one of the main pillars of The Las Vegas Golden Knights' offense and that's why losing him for any length of time is a worst-case scenario. Unfortunately for Las Vegas, that is exactly what happened to the team twice during the 2021-2022 season.

 The problems started in the Fall when Pacioretty broke his foot in an October game. He would miss 17 games due to this incident and this was before Jack Eichel was even on the team. Once Pacioretty's foot healed enough, he tried to continue his season but was sidelined again after a wrist injury. That would put him out for ten games and create a very frustrating situation/
