The Las Vegas Raiders were riding high at the beginning of the 2021 season, and it looked like nothing could stand in the team's way. Not only was that evident by the way they managed to defeat their first three opponents of their season, but also by how Derek Carr was performing during clutch moments.

The good times wouldn't last, though, and Las Vegas was met with the equivalent of a brick wall in week four of the season when they faced the Los Angeles Chargers. The opposing team managed to hold Derek Carr to just over 50 yards in the first half of the game and left the Raiders scoreless. The defense couldn't hold up either, allowing three unanswered touchdowns is in the first half o a game. It was a disaster.

While the Raiders would eventually score two touchdowns in an attempt to mount a comeback, they were still handed their first loss of the season by the Chargers. Things got even worse when Chargers' Defensive End Nick Bosa spoke out about Carr's lack of performance during the game and didn't have very kind things to say. 

"We knew once we hit him a few times, he really gets shook," Bosa said after handing Derek Carr his first loss of the 2021 season. "And you saw on [Christian Covington's] sack, he was pretty much curling into a ball before we even got back there. Great dude, great player ... but we know once you get pressure on him, he kind of shuts down."
