In the seventh round of the draft, the Raiders picked running back, Brittain Brown. While this is a very interesting pick for several reasons, it again points to the idea of McDaniels' wanting a diverse selection at the running back position. This might even be the coach's way of recreating the Patriots' dominant run game in the past. It’s going to be interesting to watch this play out. 

 The draft was a bit of a mixed bag for Las Vegas. They gave up several picks for Davantae Adams in the first place and thus the pool of available talent shrunk. When it finally came time for the Raiders to pick, they seemed to make odds choices that will take time to justify.
