#2 Jack Eichel not ruled out yet for 2022 Winter Olympics

The Las Vegas Golden Knights acquired Jack Eichel in a trade with the Buffalo Sabres and could be well on their way to a championship as a result. Of course, Eichel will need time to heal from his artificial disk replacement surgery and won't be in the lineup in January at the earliest. With that being said, he hasn't been ruled out of the 2022 Winter Olympics yet, giving some fans hope that Eichel will represent his country in the games.

"There's at least a possibility there," TSN Hockey insider Chris Johnston said Tuesday on Insider Trading. "The fact that it's gone quiet is not a reflection of how things are going. In fact, Jack Eichel is right on schedule in terms of his recovery, which leaves the sliver of a possibility that he could be available to Team USA at the Beijing Olympics. At this point, I get the sense that no one wants to put pressure on this recovery. "
