Despite the dearth of excitement happening in Sin City this month, VEGAS 411 headed to Hollywood for a few days. There, we attended the premiere of a low-budget horror movie featuring a Vegas-based cast and crew, along with an amazing experience at the Hollywood Bowl.
Yacht Rock at MONDAYS DARK
The week began with a stop at MONDAYS DARK, the bi-weekly fundraising concert at The Space. This week’s theme was “Yacht Rock”, and who better to open the show than The Docksiders?

Masquerade Party at JOHN WICK EXPERIENCE
Movie mania has swept Las Vegas, with numerous cinematic attractions throughout the city. It’s also an ideal place to film, with gorgeous locations and highly talented resident performers and technicians.
Jason Egan is the mastermind behind Escape IT, SAW Escape, and a Blair Witch attraction. His latest is JOHN WICK EXPERIENCE at AREA 15. VEGAS 411 was invited to attend a masquerade ball hosted by Egan at the new installation.
JOHN WICK EXPERIENCE is an amazingly detailed recreation of the “Continental Hotel” as seen in the films and TV series. Fans will relish the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Keanu Reeves as he tries to avoid a price on his head.

CLOWN MOTEL 3 WAYS To HELL Premiere in Hollywood
After an evening with John Wick, it was time to head to Hollywood for a movie premiere. But first, we witnessed the disturbing sight of a nearly deserted ticketing area at Harry Reid Airport on a Friday afternoon. Make of this what you will.
Our guide and host for the weekend was actress Sparky Lisa Tabor (above), an actress and executive producer for CLOWN MOTEL 3 WAYS to HELL. The film was shot throughout Nevada and features numerous Vegas-based actors.

NIGHTMARE BEFORE XMAS at Hollywood Bowl
Tim Burton’s THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS is apparently huuuuuge around Hollywood this time of the year. Not only is it playing at Disney’s gorgeous EL CAPITAN Theater (above), but a live presentation at the Hollywood Bowl has become an annual event.
Attending the CLOWN MOTEL 3 premiere was part of Ms. Tabor’s 60th birthday celebration. She decided to cap it off by attending the Saturday night performance of THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS.
Once again, we were invited to tag along and were honored to enjoy the songs of Danny Elfman, as performed by Janelle Monáe, Keith David, Riki Lindhome, John Stamos, and Elfman himself.
