WWE came to Las Vegas for their WrestleMania 40 press conference and set the wrestling world on fire. The Rock slapped Cody Rhodes during the closing segment after Rhodes commented on the Rock and Roman Reigns’ families.

The whole thing creating a great deal of buzz.

It was later decided that Cody Rhodes would take on Roman Reigns in the main event at WrestleMania 40. This points to the Rock not being done with Rhodes and the possibility of a triple-threat match.

The rest of the results of the press conference can be seen here.

#4 Kyle Busch comments on his bad luck in the Daytona 500

Las Vegas native Kyle Busch has conquered almost every race on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule, but one crucial trophy is missing. He won the Brickyard 400, the Coca-Cola 600, and even two championships. He also broke Richard Petty’s record of 200 wins in the sport, which has many pegging him as a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

The only thing Busch hasn’t conquered is the Daytona 500, and he is running out of chances. Busch recently discussed the Great American race and had this to say,

“Man, I would love nothing more than to win the Daytona 500. It’s been feast or famine, it seems, and there have been a lot of years I’ve finished 2nd, or I’ve finished 3rd, I mean, there are 5, 6 times that I can count on, but the rest of the time, ending up in a crash on the hook and ending up in the trailer early. " Busch told reporters

Last week, the Las Vegas Aces announced that Candace Parker would return to the team on a one-year deal. This comes after the former WNBA Champion suffered a fractured foot last summer, leaving her on the bench for the second half of the season.

Parker then made headlines again after the season, claiming she would only return if she weren’t in pain. Fortunately, she seems to have successfully rehabbed from her injury and is ready to help the Aces pick up a third championship in 2024.

"I'm looking forward to continuing to play the game I love while competing alongside my teammates and coaches," Parker said. "My family and I are excited to be back in Las Vegas and ready for another great season."

#2 Las Vegas Golden Knights pick up back-to-back wins

The Las Vegas Golden Knights made huge strides last week by winning back-to-back games. Things started Tuesday night with a 3-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. Chandler Stephenson, William Karlsson, and Nicholas Roy all scored goals for the Golden Knights to give them the win.

Adin Hill served as goaltender for the game and only let one puck get by him in 31 shots, giving him a .968 save percentage.  The Oilers and the Golden Knights scored goals in the first period, but neither scored again until the third. This is when the Golden Knights punched in back-to-back goals for the victory.

Fast forward two days and the Golden Knights took on the Arizona Coyotes in another critical matchup. This time, Las Vegas came out swinging with three goals in the first period to the Coyotes' one. Arizona then scored a goal in the third period to keep the game close but couldn’t get a tie before regulation.

Nicholas Hague, Jonathon Marchessault, and Chandler Stephenson all got goals in the net for Las Vegas. Adin Hill once again served as goalie for the game and only let two of 22 shots by him. Hopefully, Logan Thomson will have similar results after some much-needed rest.

Las Vegas and Allegiant Stadium hosted their first Super Bowl last week, forever cementing Sin City as a sports town. The energy was palpable from the beginning, with Post Malone singing” America the Beautiful” and getting a great reaction from the Las Vegas crowd.

The game eventually went into overtime, where fans were treated to some of the best football they have seen all year. The Chiefs won and are now pretty much a dynasty. And it all happened in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium in one of the longest games in Super Bowl history. Travis Kelce also did a killer rendition of Viva Las Vegas during the Lombardi Trophy presentation.
