Anything can happen in Las Vegas. And that’s exactly what WWE capitalized on during a 2024 WrestleMania press conference. The event was at the T-Mobile arena and featured several confrontations throughout the evening. The biggest moment by far was when Cody Rhodes got slapped by the Rock during the final moments of a promo.
WWE fans were unhappy coming into the event because the company seemingly sidelined Cody Rhodes for the Rock at WrestleMania 40. It seemed like they robbed Rhodes of the main event opportunity and the chance to finish his championship story.
The company quickly corrected all of this during the final segment by turning the Rock heel and having him slap Cody Rhodes. This eventually set up Rhodes versus Reigns at WrestleMania for the Undisputed title bout.
Now, this is what Las Vegas is all about.WWE used the landscape around them perfectly and got much attention on WrestleMania. As long as the company follows through on finishing the story, this was one of the best ideas ever
#4 One of the best playoff races on the NASCAR schedule

Las Vegas Motor Speedway[/caption]
NASCAR comes to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway twice yearly for some of the best on-track action on the Cup Series circuit. The fall playoff race, in particular, has become one of the best on the schedule.
This is due to several changes to NASCAR’s rules package, which allow for more competitive racing. A perfect example is the 2023 Fall race, where Christopher Bell desperately tried to run down the eventual winner, Kyle Larson. The finish had everyone in the grandstands out of their seats to watch.
That’s the racing you can expect in Las Vegas—wild restarts with cars fanning out, mind-numbing speed, and frequent crashes.
#3 Sold-out WNBA season tickets

Las Vegas Aces[/caption]
The Las Vegas Aces have won two straight championships and are working on their third in 2024. They also just announced that they sold out of season tickets in March, making them the first team in WNBA history to do so.
This is a major win that shows how fast an organization can rise. The process started when Mark Davis took over ownership, and Becky Hammon became the head coach. These two critical moments created a perfect championship window that still seems wide open.
The Aces are essentially the best WNBA team to take to the hardwood in years.

#2 A rollercoaster seven years to a Stanley Cup Title

Vegas Golden Knights[/caption]
Seven years ago, a team came to Las Vegas and turned the city upside down. They were called the Las Vegas Golden Knights. They even finished 54-21-7 in their initial 2017-2018 season.
This was good enough for a playoff spot, which they capitalized on. It started with a clean sweep against the Kings, which was impressive for a new organization. They then moved on to the Sharks, where they fought it out in a grueling 4-2 series to advance.
And then, after a 4-0 series win against the Jets, the Golden Knights finally moved on to their first Stanely Cup Finals appearance. Unfortunately for Las Vegas, they lost 4-1 to the Capitals and were unceremoniously tossed out. Little did anyone know that this would set the groundwork for the organization's future.
Fast-forward seven years of chasing the title, and they finally made it back to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2023. This time their opponent was the Florida Panthers in what many thought would be a competitive series. Instead, however, Las Vegas took the series 4-1 and finished their story to become Stanley Cup Champions. Only in Vegas do you see a storybook ending like that.
#1 The greatest show on turf

Las Vegas Raiders[/caption]
2024 marks a new era for the Las Vegas Raiders. Head Coach Antonio Pierce is labeling the new era the greatest show on turf, and it’s hard not to believe him after he rallied the locker room in 2023.
Pierce is probably eyeing a big-name quarterback and reworking the defense to play more aggressively. This isn’t going to be a team to mess around with. They will also be a team you don't want to take your eyes off.
Allegiant Stadium is already the perfect place to watch the game, but now fans have more to watch! No more dead-end drives and lopsided defensive breakdowns. The Raiders can score at any moment while also taking the ball away on defense. Our advice? Come see the show.
