These top 5 Las Vegas athletes give us reasons to love this city.

#5 Kyle Busch- Las Vegas native NASCAR driver

The Candyman. Rowdy. The most hated man in NASCAR. No matter what you call Kyle Busch, he's still one of the most significant drivers to put on a racing helmet. He has proved that throughout his Cup Series career, even netting two championships. No one has been as consistently dominant as Kyle Busch.

The man has over 200 wins in NASCAR. He also won a championship with two broken feet while winning five races that year. That makes Busch an iron man of the sport and a true champion that Las Vegas can be proud of. He might be controversial. He might have an attitude, but he is one of the best.

#4 Hunter Renfrow- Las Vegas Raiders

Hunter Renfrow is one of Derek Carr's favorite targets on the Las Vegas Raiders, and it's easy to see why. Between averaging 10.1 yards per catch and over 1000 receiving yards last season, Renfrow is the offense's engine. He is a reliable check down for Carr in critical situations and found the endzone ten times last season.

Although he was injured throughout the 2021 season, he still did a lot on the field. He was the guy that could move the ball a few yards or go deep for that possible touchdown. That's what makes Renfrow so deserving of a spot on this list. It's the never say die attitude and beast-like performance.

#3 Max Pacioretty- Las Vegas Golden Knights

What can be said about Max Pacioretty that hasn't already been talked to death? Despite suffering multiple injuries in 2022, he scored 19 goals and 18 assists on the ice. He also managed 12 power-play points.

The stats prove just how vital Pacioretty is to the Golden Knights and how much his repeated absences hurt. Another stat that showed how important Pacioretty was is that he was responsible for four game-winning goals. Just imagine what he could have done if he had more time on the ice last season!

#2 Derek Carr- Las Vegas Raiders

Why does Derek Carr deserve to be ranked among the best athletes in Las Vegas sports? There are two answers to that question. The first is that he is a solid quarterback who has shown moments of greatness on the field. The second is the sheer amount of disrespect this man has to put up with when leading his team.

Despite what the media wants to throw Carr, it's almost impossible to make it stick. He uses his humble attitude and positive mindset to put things in a new perspective.

#1 A’ja Wilson- Las Vegas Aces

No one deserves more respect than A'ja Wilson, and her abilities are just plained unmatched. She has proved that this season by averaging 19 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 2.1 blocks a game. This athlete can do it all and has been the anchor of The Aces for years. The only thing missing from the MVP's trophy case is a WNBA finals trophy; she could quickly fill that void this season!
