First Friday Las Vegas is a monthly event that showcases local musicians, artists, and food trucks. It provides a platform where everyone can celebrate the local Vegas culture and creativity. The cultural festival is held on the first Friday of every month at the Las Vegas Arts District.

First Friday Foundation

There’s the First Friday Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting local arts, education, and culture. It has now been in existence for over 17 years. The foundation puts a lot of effort into providing artistic opportunities for thousands of students in the Clark County School District.

Why First Friday is an Artist’s Heaven

First Friday celebrated its 20th year in April 2023. It not only showcases local artists in celebration of creativity and culture, but it also brings the community together. When it started, only 14 people attended. Today, thousands come out every first Friday of the month to participate in this event.

People enjoy free music performances, displays, delicious food, and more. It generally lasts from 5 pm to 11 pm. When you attend, you get to celebrate artistic expression and local talent. Passionate artists showcase their work, establish connections, and sell their work within a very supportive community.

The main event of the evening is the Art Walk, which is located in 18b Arts District. You’ll get to stroll through galleries and exhibitions that span from the north side of the Charleston/Casino Center intersection to the Imperial. This is three blocks south.

The ingenuity of the art that’s found here is striking. First Friday Las Vegas is a testament to art's transformative power. It catalyzes the revival of Downtown Las Vegas, making it a thriving cultural hub.
