Bruce Cassidy has made a lot of decisions since taking over as head coach of the Golden Knights and that trend will likely continue. Not only is that evident by the goalie rotation controversy, but also by how many key players are coming towards free agency.
One example is Brett Howden, whose contract is up in 2023 according to Spotrac.com Although his lone goal in 11 shots is a slow start, he is mostly known for assists. This means that the Golden Knights should take a wait-and-see approach to determine if Howen is worth keeping.
#4 Kiah Stokes (Las Vegas Aces Center)

The Las Vegas Aces had a big hole to fill after the loss of Liz Cambage, but Kiah Stokes helped ease the transition. She did this by taking a whopping 15.3 minutes per game in 2023, giving other players time to rest. She totaled 2.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game, during her time on the court.
Not perfect numbers by any means, but she played a significant role in helping the team to a championship. Her contract is scheduled to expire during the upcoming preseason, though, forcing the Aces to decide how to keep the group together.
#3 Laurent Brossoit (Las Vegas Golden Knights Goalie)

Do the Las Vegas Golden Knights need Laurent Brossoit? While that question might have seemed ridiculous a year ago, Adin Hill and Logan Thompson are doing great without him. They have even combined to lead their team to a 4-2 record and only allowed 16 goals. That’s an average of 2.7 per game in six games and a pretty impressive start for these guys.
Does that mean Brossoit is on his way out? According to Spotrac.com, his contract is set to expire in 2023. His injury could play a huge role in his ousting if Hil and Thompson prove themselves worthy.

#2 Mack Hollins (Las Vegas Raiders Wide Reciever)

Mack Hollins is one of those players who deserves a new contract. He already racked up 19 receptions for 317 yards and two touchdowns this season and could easily improve those numbers. Hollins might not be the biggest contributor to the passing game, but he has come up in key moments. Holins is also helping keep the ship steady during a very difficult time.
Will the Raiders notice that contribution? Furthermore, if Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow start to pick up their performance, can Hollins still justify his spot on the roster? That's when his contract is up, according to Spottrac.
#1 Josh Jacobs (Las Vegas Raiders Running Back)
Josh Jacobs is the best thing about the Raiders in 2023, and that's why he deserves a new contract. The Raiders organization already declined his third-year option during the preseason and drafted two running backs. This looked like the end for Jacobs, but then things got interesting.
Fast-forward, and Jacobs has racked up 663 yards, an average gain of 5.7 per play, and six touchdowns. He is still behind league leaders, but he is a big reason why the Raiders are scoring touchdowns.
