A Vegas Tradition with a Kick
A staple of Las Vegas heritage, Helldorado Days brings the city’s cowboy roots back to life — complete with rodeo thrills, line dancing, and a family-friendly fairground atmosphere. This year’s event is fully sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA), with a $40,000 prize purse up for grabs across classic competitions like bull riding, barrel racing, roping, steer wrestling, and bronc riding.
If you’re new to the rodeo, this is the perfect place to get your boots dusty and your adrenaline pumping.
Theme Nights Bring the Spirit
Each night of Helldorado Days has its own flavor — and its own dress code.
-
Friday: Neon Night 🌟 – A night for the kids and future rodeo stars! Expect bright colors, glowing outfits, and a celebration of the next generation of fans.
-
Saturday: Patriotism Night 🇺🇸 – The arena goes red, white, and blue in a moving tribute to America’s heroes. Military members and their families will be honored throughout the evening.
Family Fun & Western Flair
Before the main events kick off, guests can enjoy a carnival with rides, games, a petting zoo, mechanical bull, and line dancing. There’s also mutton bustin’ for the little cowboys and cowgirls (ages 4–10), a Whiskerino beard contest, and a historical exhibit area celebrating Las Vegas’s western past.
Don’t miss the children’s coloring contest display on Friday — it’s always one of the most heartwarming parts of the weekend.
Tickets & After Party
A limited number of general admission tickets remain, starting at $20 (plus tax), available only through the Plaza Hotel & Casino’s official website. Don’t wait — this event sells out every year.
After the rodeo, the celebration continues with a free Rodeo After Party featuring drink specials, a live DJ, and the unforgettable vibes of the Forest House Art Car. The after party kicks off at 8 p.m. and is open to the public.
A Celebration of Vegas History
Sponsored by the Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial and the Plaza Hotel & Casino, Helldorado Days pays tribute to the city’s pioneering past and celebrates the spirit of community that built Las Vegas — a nod to the grit, humor, and hospitality that made this desert outpost the entertainment capital of the world.
🎟️ Vegas411 Tip: Bring your brightest colors Friday, your best red, white, and blue Saturday — and your dancing boots every night. Helldorado Days is where Old Vegas meets new energy, and everyone’s welcome to join the ride.
