#4 Las Vegas Aces waive another key draft pick

The Las Vegas Aces made headlines last week for waiving yet another player they picked in the 2022 WNBA Draft. This time it was former Colorado University star Myla Hollingshed.  Although no official reason has been given for the release, many believe it was because the team wants to stay under the salary cap.

Other players released by Las Vegas include Kalani Brown, Deja Winters, Faustine Aifuwa, and Victoria Macaulay. This isn't strange; it's been reported that ⅓ of all WNBA draft picks are cut before the start of the regular season.
