The campground at Red Rock Canyon is the closest thing to a wilderness that you get in Las Vegas. This spot is popular and tends to be fully booked, so it's wise to make a reservation well in advance to secure a spot. The only modern thing is the vault toilets; otherwise, it is an authentic camping experience in the wild. The views here are spectacular.
