#5 Hunter Renfrow reveals he originally didn’t want to play for the Las Vegas Raiders

It’s no secret that Hunter Renfrow is a key producer for the Las Vegas Raiders offense and could be instrumental in helping them towards a Super Bowl. With that being said, the 2019 draft pick opened up during an interview last week about originally not wanting to be drafted to the Raiders. He and his wife even claimed it was the one place he didn’t want to go.

“I talked to my agent a little bit about if I’m not drafted and I’m a free agent, where are the places I want to go,” Renfrow told podcast host Darien Rencher. “The places where I and Camilla would feel good about going and signing a free-agent contract and hoping to make the team. So I remember going through a list of where I wanted to go and then I made a list of where I did not want to go. And I remember me and Camilla came to the consensus that the Raiders were the no. 1 team that we did not want to go to.”

Fortunately for Las Vegas Raiders fans, Renfrow ended up feeling right at home in Sin City and has been a constant threat on the field. In fact, in 2021 alone, he accumulated 103 receptions for 1038 yards, 10.1 yards per carry, and nine touchdowns. Who knows where the organization would be without him?

“I remember at the moment they call you and tell you you’re going to Oakland and once those feelings fade you start thinking, and I remember thinking this is God just laughing at us,” Renfrow continued. “We think we have our plans but we have no idea what’s going on.”
