#5 The Las Vegas Lights FC

Did you know Las Vegas had a soccer team. A lot of people probably didn’t, especially since the organization went 8-19 in their first season and 11-15 their second season, but they did have a total of 15 draws in that time period as well. It goes without saying that the team failed to qualify for their playoffs in the first two seasons of their existence and don’t look very promising for the future either.

In the end, this team may turn things around before things are over and it’s going to take a while to get there. With that being said, this isn’t a sports team for fair weather fans or bandwagoners and is going to require a huge level of commitment from fans. Now that’s not to say this isn’t a playoff worth team in the next few years or that they never could be, but they again haven’t shown much promise.

#4 The Las Vegas Aviators

Believe it or not, Las Vegas has a Baseball team too and they are The Aviators. While the team went 71-73 in their first season and 79-64 in their second, they followed that up with two division wins in back to back years. The team did go on a postseason dry spell following those two years but made up for it by winning the division again in their last season.

Again, another work in progress and isn’t a team for fair weather fans, but they are on the road to being something big. In fact, between their consistency, and their playoff appearances, they appear to be right on the cusp of greatness. How they get there will be a question for another day, but they are on the right track.

#3 The Las Vegas Aces

The Las Vegas Aces might not have won a WNBA Championship yet and they might have only recently come to Las Vegas, but this team has a lot of potential. In fact, between their 6-2 record this season, which puts them second in their division, and the fact that they are down several critical team members, this is a team that has a lot of promise.

In the end, a championship might not be possible this season, especially with how crazy 2020 has been so far, but The Las Vegas Aces are going to at least make a deep run at the title. Furthermore, when Liz Cambage and Kelsey Plum are healthy again, this is a team that could win the whole damn thing when the 2021 comes around.

#2 The Las Vegas Golden Knights

It’s no secret that The Las Vegas Golden Knights have the star power to go all the way in the 2020 playoffs and believe it or not, it’s kind of always been that way. In fact, The Golden Knights made it to The NHL finals in their inaugural season and while they didn’t win the championship, they showed a lot of grit in defeat that year.

Unfortunately for fans, The Golden Knights would follow that up with a 43-32 record and getting eliminated in the first round of The Stanley Cup playoffs by the Sharks. If nothing else, this team is on the cusp of a championship just like The Las Vegas Aces, but they deserve this spot by getting closer to the title than their WNBA counter parts did.

#1 The Las Vegas Raiders

I know what you’re thinking. How can a team that hasn’t been in Las Vegas for a singular calendar year possibly be the best team in the town's history? While it is true that The Raiders haven’t played a season yet in Las Vegas, their history of four championships, several winning season and all the potential to succeed in 2020, you got to put the Las Vegas Raiders first.

Feel free to disagree and make it a game of what have you done for me lately, but The Raiders have a history that can’t be denied. Furthermore, they are bringing that storied history to Las Vegas and continuing it in a way that few teams ever get to. In the end, you have two choices. Jump on the bandwagon while it’s still new or be left behind by this immensely talented team.
